The Tool Repair Technician will be responsible for cleaning, debugging, and repairing injection molding molds, as well as troubleshooting and repairing injection molding molds. Responsibilities will include:

• Clean, debug, and repair plastic injection molds accurately
• Utilize tool room equipment appropriately and effectively
• Perform work on molds making tight tolerance parts
• Use and comprehend injection mold part and tool prints
• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding molds
• Perform tool maintenance duties in accordance with DWE safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Journeyman Tool Maker/Machinist preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 year of experience in injection molding tool maintenance and repair or tool making
• Close attention to detail
• Punctual with a high attendance rate
• Ability to follow directions

Working conditions

All work is performed in the injection mold shop/machine shop/manufacturing floor

Physical requirements

Requires standing, repeated reaching and twisting and hand movement throughout entire shift. Requires lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds. Requires mental and physical stamina and strength. Use of personal protection equipment (PPE) is often necessary.
